Every line of code, every algorithm, and every AI decision begins with mathematical reasoning.
This conviction is what brought our founding team together. Coming from diverse backgrounds
— including Wharton alumni, Oxonians, and Cantabrigians — we share a unified belief: the
modern world is built upon the strength of mathematical foundations.
From this insight came a powerful idea: to nurture the next generation in a world where
mathematics is not merely an academic subject, but a survival skill — as essential as creating fire in the wilderness or swimming on an isolated shore. To thrive in today’s society, one must
understand the principles upon which AI is built, and that journey begins with mathematics.
When we presented this vision to Cambridge University, they offered their full support and
shared our ambition to shape future innovators together. This is how the Clarkson Institute was
born. Hence, we became the one of the first institutions that offer prestigious mathematical
experience for potential Oxbridge graduates at Cambridge University in Asia.
Our model and programme are rigorously co-designed with Lucy Cavendish College, University
of Cambridge, ensuring both academic excellence and exposure to high-level, proof-based
mathematical thinking. Every element of the curriculum reflects Cambridge’s commitment to
depth, precision, and intellectual challenge. For students who wish to understand what it truly
means to study mathematics at one of the world’s leading universities, we aim to recreate that
experience and provide the preparation necessary to pursue it with confidence.
We welcome candidates who aspire to use mathematics to shape the world — individuals who
recognise its central role in modern society and students who possess a genuine, enduring
passion for mathematical exploration. This is why the Clarkson Institute came into being, and we invite all capable, curious minds to join us and challenge themselves.
To build a global community where mathematics and artificial intelligence converge as the
driving forces of human progress. The Clarkson Institute is dedicated to identifying and
developing exceptional young talents whose mastery of mathematical thinking forms
the foundation of tomorrow’s AI innovations.
Rooted in the Cambridge tradition of logic, proof, and inquiry, we aim to cultivate future
leaders who can bridge theory and technology — using mathematics not only to understand
the world, but to design the intelligent systems that will shape it.
